Eagle saw rig with engine
Eagle Equipment

The Eagle Mfg. Co. had a humble beginning with the Eagle Fork Co. by building haying tools and farm equipment. Some of the hay tools were probably hay carriers for the hay mow and various pulleys that go along with the putting up of hay. Other machinery built was horse powers used to power small threshers and saw mill frames.

Then when the Eagle Mfg. Co. got going, they still made the hay tools and horse powers, but also now vertured into the building of feed cutters. The US farmers were becoming more educated in the feeding of animals and it was proven that if the feed could be ground or cut into smaller pieces, the animals could digest the feed faster and thus get it to market faster.

Other machinery built by Eagle were small elevators to be used with the feed cutters, cutter/blowers, sweep type horsepowers, power jacks, saw rigs, burr mills, and grain grinders. The saw rigs were built sometimes in conjunction with an Eagle engine to provide power to the saw rig, this was a turn key operation when bought as a unit. At one time you could order an Eagle tractor frame and you could put your own engine into it. In the late teens their lines of feed processors included ensilage cutters, silo fillers, farm implements of all kinds, and iron and wood working machinery. It is believed that Eagle built a hay press but no documentation can be found on it.

The main stay of the company in the later years was the building of the tractors, with the implements probably being built up to the end of production in the late 30's.
